Durban, South Africa, 2008 (April)
I was in Durban again last weekend and decided to try to document why it has so captured my affection.
Here, as a mini photo essay, is Why I Love Durban, by Kate.

Sam, a sweethearted golden retriever (is there any other kind?), with whom I bonded with during his first months. He now freaks out with happiness when I visit:
My girls, Alex (age 9) and Rebecca (age 12), who are so endlessly clever, loving and amusing. Here we are playing spa:
And the girls hamming it up in a convenience store security mirror:
These are just a start. See also (not pictured): peace of mind, relaxation, sense of security, ocean breeze, warm nights, delicious Indian food.
