San Francisco, 2007
You say it's your birthday? It's my birthday too, yeah!
So I'm fully rockin' the Early Flirties (TM). 32 is the new hott pink, for sure.
Despite horrible weather (a high of 56!), it's been a good birthday. And of course I'm wearing a summery party frock despite the cold. I'm practically dressed for a night in Havana.
The day has been spent overindulging in food and sparkling alcohol, with a few spa treatments thrown in for good measure. My friend Michael accompanied me to the St. Francis Soda Fountain for my annual birthday milkshake. That's me below, shivering from minimal sunshine and maximal milkshake:
We took a foggy but scenic tour all around town on his Vespa--the Mission, Noe Valley, Castro--and I hollered "It's my birthday!" in English and Spanish to anyone who could hear.
I'm off to continue my overindulgences at the 10th annual Memorial Day party thrown by Chris Sams and the Brothers Parker, and the sun has even popped out for a cameo appearance before it sets for the night. Amazing.
One sad note to report: the Happy Jerk-Off Clown met his demise with a loud CRACK! At least he died doing what he loved best...which was all he knew how to do, really. There's a lesson there for all of us.
UPDATE: I've added a photo that captures the happy, dirty little fella at his finest (and functional) hour, and the pony puzzle too!
